Hi everyone! I'm sorry I haven't been around for a few days or posted any new content. Unfortunately (fortunately?) work has picked up and I've been out of the house from early morning to early evening. After the day I've barely had enough energy to crawl to bed. Hopefully I'll figure out how to balance this new work schedule with some free time to create.

Thank you all for your ongoing support and hopefully I'll be able to get some art out soon!

Hi Everyone!

First, I would like to thank everyone who watches or favorites or gives badges to my work. I'm absolutely horrible about time management and I find myself spending my time creating, only to look and see I have over 1100 unanswered notification for favorites and watches.

You all have contributed to the momentum that started my watchers number climbing from 300 to over 500 in 2 weeks. I am sincerely grateful and humbled by your support.

I will hopefully be able to start chipping away at my notifications because I would love to thank each of you individually. That being said, I know we're all here for the art, so I'll keep creating and contributing to the community. I also make it a priority to answer each and every comment that I can because I do like to talk with those who contribute.

I would also like to tell those of you that create and that I watch that I'm sorry I'm not keeping an eye on your work as much as I should, but that I prefer to create rather than consume. It's not that I don't appreciate your art, it's just that I spend nearly all of my free time creating for you deviants rather than perusing the site. I will try to get better as I streamline my process and visit your pages more often.

If any of my watchers would like to feature me or recommend me to your watchers I would be ecstatic and would absolutely respond in kind with recommendations of my own or with a free commission or whatever!

Hello my friends!

I have a scene that I've tried to render with Lux where the grain just wont go away.  It's well lit, yet at well over 200 hours and 5k S/p the noise in the image just won't seem to go away.  Anyways, I converted it over to Iray and in 10 hours it looked far, far better than the Luxrender version.  Unfortunately I messed up the render when my laptop hibernated; it purged the GPU memory and the render terminated.

I have to say I'm very, very impressed with Iray.  I have a few griped about it so far.  I do not like the lack of a Save and Resume feature that comes with Lux and the absence of an interactive Tonemapper.

I love the ability to have a true spot render, the integration with Daz, the ease of setting up materials, the exposure of all the settings I need for a very in-depth SSS shader, and, of course, the speed!

More to come soon!  :)

Thanks for watching and sticking around!
